Plantar Fasciitis: Other Treatments Available

Aside from laser treatments for plantar fasciitis, there are also other options available that you might want to consider. This includes both surgical and non-surgical treatment. For the non-surgical treatment, plantar fasciitis may be relieved through physical therapy, some stretching exercises, and perhaps shockwave therapy.

In worst cases, however, one may have to undergo surgical procedure. One example is the plantar fascia release where the surgeon may cut a ligament in order to release the tension. Another surgical procedure is the gastrocnemius recession. This is also a very effective procedure in treating plantar fasciitis.
